Cool Summer 2004 ends today 11:30

Can you believe another summer has come and gone?

It's been a blast.

No big crashes (for me )

Travelled a little further outside of the midwest to ride other tracks...

Put some more faces to names on the board

Made some great new friends

Well, this summer's been hampered by injuries due to my ripped disc in my neck (fucked up mountain biking at the beginning) and my badly sprained (and continually reinjured) ankle from me and Krys' crash. That changed everything.

Now the medical bills (from what insurance hasn't paid) is causing me to look for a second job.

But I did get to do 5 trackdays, and the warm weather isn't over yet! Let's enjoy as much as we can while we still have it!

Ahhh yes. This was the first summer in about 6 years that I didn't ride on a racetrack, oh well. I am getting old!

Been a great summer with CLSB even if we did get rained out of Strats for the Month of AUGUST!

Had a blast watching the kids really enjoy their first summer. Kolby (will be 2 in March) discovered how to really run in the grass and climb up the ladder for the slide. Also learned about Ants crawling on the sidewalk)
Haley (will be 3 in Dec) Learned how to catch a ball and swing by herself on the see-saw swing. My goodness how they have grown up so much over the short summer.

This is actually the best part of the riding season IMO. The leaves change colors, clear cool days, no more humidity...overall great sport touring weather. 3 years ago we had some amazing Indian Summer evenings in late October.

Summer for me went fast. I only rode about 4500 miles since I bought my ZX9R in Feb. Since I'm in Iowa now not near Chicago, there's nowhere to ride on weekedays. Nothing but groups of helmetless squids in this area.

Its been a kick ass summer.

I did 11 trackdays.

I got my 10R.

I got bumped to Intermediate and my laptimes dropped.

I started riding with the group and I made it to a bunch of Strat's nights.

I got to ride my bike in the mountains of New Mexico.

Took my first real vacation. I spent a week in Alaska (photos to be posted this weekend)

Learned to sail and was certified on a Hunter.

Crashed once at the track. No major damage to me or my bike.

Yeah, this has been the best summer yet!

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I bleed GREEN
