A DOG NEEDS A HOME...or it will be put to sleep :(

Hey guys I am passing the info from my wife.

Heres the story.

The dog is a pure bread Rottweiler its about 5 years old, 130 pounds, has been neutered, and all shoots etc.

The family it had.....husband and wife and 2 kids...they had 2 dogs...this is one of them...(i think the other was a small dog) well they got a divorce, and the husband got stuck with the dogs..cause the wife went back to mama with the kids.

the guy travels alot..and cant care for him no more cause he hates to leave the dog alone...or with neighbors when its for a while...and ofcourse a neighbor carrying for a 130 pound dog when its not his...gets to be a pain in the ass after a while. (like anyone can blame him)

anyway the dog is house broken, and is good with kids, and a sweet loving dog she said.

Myself I have never seen the dog, nor do I know the family.

he has to find someone to take him for a good home..if not he has to put him to sleep

Wish I had a picture but I don't.

If anyone wants this dog or would like to see him I can get the info from my wife.
Man this makes me sad..i would get him...but I shouldn't since my son (my dog, stone) is smaller and there for will feel not the master dog of the home (although I am THE ALFA MALE)
you know what I mean...it would take away from him.

I suggest anyone thinking of getting this dog..even at 5 years old he needs a YARD and needs to exercise when he can...and it takes a firm person to handle a dog like this..and DON'T let it think your afrid of it and always maintain control of this size...a ROTT is a pretty dominate dog, and needs to always be under controlled.

Now don't get me wrong..alot of you guys have seen my dog and came in my house...he's a scary fucker at first..but if you noticed I accepted you to come in and he complied and then as you guys know..he started playing with you and kissing you . So its not a dog to let sit on the couch all day and don't take care of him.

please guys lets find this dog a home.

let me know if anything

Hey Ken you can also go through ADOPT who is working out of Boulder terrace animal hospital on Ogden in naperville. Its right by the pontiac dealer over there. They take animals in on sunday mornings and they are a "no Kill" humane society. I got my treee cats from them and they are excellent people.

I hate to say this but there is no such thing. My wife told me about this and I didn't believe her but she says that they are no kill UNLESS. Unless the animal comes back more than 3 times. They are over a certain age, retarded, aren't cute, etc. You get my point. Both our dog and one of our cats was taken in on one of these rules at no kill shelters. We took them before they put them down cause my wife worked there.

Yeah it doesnt surprise me too much that there are some stipulations. But I guess thats better than some of these places that kill them for sitting for 3 weeks before someone takes them. I hate hearing about that.

http://www.save-a-pet-il.org/

is another no-kill shelter but the Rotty rescue group would prolly find a new home for the dog the fastest.

www.petfinder.org - is a place you could find info about rotty rescue groups.

He needs to go to recycledrotts.org and go to the surrender
section to fill out a form they then should be able to find him a foster home. Make sure he puts that the dog is at someones house other then his. That way they should be a little faster.
