Ticket Part 2

In recap, I got a speeding ticket for 26 mph over the limit. Went to court and got a conviction without supervision.

I talked with my buddy who is a lawyer. He took my ticket and made a phone call to the Asst States Attorney. The guy agreed that if we appealed the decision that he would take the conviction off my record but give me a $250 fine instead with supervision. I have already paid $95 so that would only be $155 more.

Is it worth it to get this expunged? I am leaning towards yes.

It's okay to do "wrong" as long as you give the govt. money.

lol ditto

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

I moved here from Michigan about 9 months ago and i have to tell you guys, you are so lucky you can get supervision. In Michigan you get the ticket and the points. You can try fighting the ticket, but it usually does no good. Now what really sucks is the ticket may cost you $200, but your first 2 points (a 5-10mph over ticket) and your insurance goes up 15% a year. If you have 4 points on your license, your insurance goes up 50% a year!!!! Bull shit if you ask me.

WI does points also with no supervison. Hell I would love to be able to pay only $95 for a 26 over. Here a 26 over could get you a reckless driving ticket which is 6pts AND a min $335 fine.
