Looks like the Viper better not be checking his mirrors to closely..he may see a Vette going around him!!

This car just keeps evolving into a real world class machine.

actually i'm very much impressed with the new Z06, its actually starting to reach "supercar" status. bigger motor, more power, better styling.. i have driven a C6 and was impressed, they handle really well. good to see it will give the Viper a run for its money.. personally i'm not a fan of the new Viper styling, but sure does handle and have more power than the 1st gen.

back onto the vette.. is there a sticker price for that bad boy yet? or some stats like top speed, 1320, skidpad?

Dodge needs a kick in there arses with the viper.. it should have more than 500hp.. i mean COME ON, there new 300c SRT-8 has 425hp!!

mono leaf is suppose to be the "new" thing with suspension design. Because the material used isn't steal.

mono leaf was used a lot in the olden days.

The Vette does all of that without a turbo or supercharger! They should make it really insane and toss a turbo on from the factory. Why not all the imports do it already This is the king of all normal production American sportcars. I want one Now only if I fit the demographic and were 50+ and had a six figure income.

Hmmmm, never did like vettes, the few that I have driven handle like shit (IMHO) Like all America cars, they have the "toe in the fan" mentality, I'll stick with the Euro Trash, I don't care if the car is slower, I prefer handling and styling.

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

I have heard some very scary things that went on during the design of this recent gen of Corvettes and some of the corners cut and some things were overlooked. I would rather not be the guniea pig in one of those things. They should have left the flip headlights, that has been signature Corvette since almost the beginning. The Vette to me is still an old man car that people buy as a collectors item. If your going to buy a Vette buy a real one, '63-'72.

my dad has a '69 vette, had a '70 with a 454 4 speed-at about 440hp, and just bought a '01 ZO6. Ill take his '01 any day of the week. The older cars are nastalgia pieces but are not performance cars whatsoever.

Car is expected to sticker in the mid to high 60K price range.
But they may put it in the 70K range and screw it up like they did the ZR-1

Then they are! I was making the point that the stereo type of mid-life crisis over 50 is not 100% correct.
But I'll assume from your quick defense that you are at least 50 and you own a Vette.

Yes you and Dave both own Vettes. and as usual Rick has made it a point to put down anyone one who doesnt own or like exactly what he does.

RPO "B2K" from 1987 to 1990 i believe.
The turbo package ranged from 20K - 30K depending on what model year car it was on.

This car is bitching. I was at the stop light the other day next to black one. And the guy was checking my car out while I was druling about his vett. maybe when my son is old enough to be in the front seat i will look into one. But not if the price is going to be going up that much. If it is more then 60K I might as well by Porsha.
