Geek help needed: microsoft frontpage "back ground of a pic to match web page look"

i am trying to build a website using microsfot frontpage, so far the trouble i am having is:

i put my logo in it, BUT the back ground of the picture "white
doesnt match the background of the website " a colored pattern"

anyone know how to do it?

if please please tell me step by step.

That's because the picture doesn't have a transparent background. That's something you have to do an image editor.

so what do i do, hit the logo tab insert picture and then find some transparent background?

ok i inserted the pic, IF this is the case, set the trans to it, cut and pasted onto the web page, its still white.

what craze inc means is when you create the picture in lets say photoshop, you have to select the background as being transparent. I don't remeber which but either gif or jpg can have a transparent background. But not both.

Gif. You can't make the image transparent in Frontpage, it's something you have to do in an image editor.

Paintshoppro is shareware you can use for free for a while. You have to set the background transparent on your logo image. JPG or GIF is the file extension you save the image as.

upload the picture you want on the board. Right click on it, click properties. Copy the url of the image into the form above, put 255 in the color fields, click the button next to Hexidecimal and click submit. Save the new image and insert it like you normally would in frontpage.

I just did my avatar in the form. It's kinda sloppy, but the picture was sloppy to begin with.
