does anybody work at a saab dealership, my damn car needs a part that I can get for like 329 online, but the dealership wants 433, I was wondering if anybody works at a dealership that can get me a deal.

Ken,

thats my problem. this is my only car, and the bike is still in storage, I want to get the car up and running again, but damn $120 more because its from the local dealer, I know the markup is incredible, so I was hoping maybe somebody on the board worked at a saab dealership and could get a few bucks off for me.

overnight shipping on the part is $100, so I guess I am only saving a few bucks to order it online... Damn european cars.

Check a couple of dealerships - certain ones, especially in the city, jack their prices and you can sometimes do better by checking a few. Also, give some of the import car parts shops a call - you might just get lucky.

it's a 99 saab 9-3, and I need the direct ignition cassette, or the DI module is the other name, the red one. Any saab parts guy would know exactly what it is... I think the part number is 9178955

thanks for the help Ken, I just got back from picking up the part, and will throw it on tonight. It ended up being a pretty good deal when it was all said and done, I owe you a beer.
