An Immigration Lawyer.

Long story short, my citizenship application was denied because they said I am classfied as "poor moral character".

TIA for any help.

Look in the phone book/internet and find the closest Traveler's Immigrants Aid Office near you. They should be able to help you out and at the very least point you in the right direction.

Thats kinda funny.

Most people don't realize what a pain in the ass it is to become a US citizen legaly after 9-11. I'm really glad my parents brought me here when they did. I know a girl who is maried, educated, has a great job and spends a fortune on lawyers and the givernment has been pushing her around for 2 years and she still might have to leave in 2 months. On the other hand I have a friend who is a complete delinquent and got all his stuff done in no time. Plus there is a ton of people who are illegal or who pay for a mariage. the only person who gets screwed is the one that does it by the book.

WTF does that mean????

Life has no instruction manual. Parts and labor can be impossible to find. Many go down the road with parts that are in need of service. A breakdown is eventual.

You got tickets didn't you. What laws have you broken since you've been here?

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

Sorry about your hardship , spongebob. I think it's a real shame that someone like you who tries to take the high road and go through this the right way gets the shaft. Seems that if you would like to stay in this country the only way to do it without getting fucked with is to swim across the Rio Grande.

spngebob. the lawyer I use to get my wife's status finalized is very good. What I like most about him is that what he says is going to happen it actually happens. He tells us what and how to do it to ensure that everything is OK.
He strictly handles immigration cases so if you want his info PM & let me know. I'll be back in town on Monday night.

dude get deported before getting married!

No really I do have an old buddy that does this..
He's helped several of my friends.. PM me if interested and I will try to track him down for you. He specializes in Asian/Korean cases.
Its a LONG process brother and you might even have to leave and come back before you get to stay.

I've heard stories of people that came here at the age of two and had to leave to a country they dont even remember... all because of "moral character"

If I recall correctly you are a student right?
That should help you a bit. Fill in some blanks and I'll ask him.
FYI its not cheap either... sorry to hear about this.

thanks guys for the reply, I am legal and I am a permanent resident in the states. However, I can't visit my home country without an US passport, that is why I wish to become a U.S citizen.

ok, since you guys are so damn curious about the "poor moral status" that I pointed out, here is a short versiob of what I was told. Basically USCIS stated that if you had any crime convictions (except traffic). The nature of the convicted crime would be evaluated and will be used to their so-called" good moral standing" of the applicants.
Crimes such as DUI, DWI, POCS,,,etc.

VoytekNT: what is the cost roughly for hiring an immigration lawyer, I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, but I can use any info.

thanx
