If you buy a house near Braidwood you will get more for your money then in Joliet. Braidwood is about 30 minutes south of Joliet give or take a few.

So with that in mind you will have to decide if you wanna live in BORING Braidwood or Busy Joliet

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

no kidding. I didn't know it was that cheap to live there.

Yep, houses here are quite pricey. Do a search on Yahoo for apartments in Joliet. I think that's how I found my place in Naperville.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Chills won't find any apartments that way. Most joliet places are only listed in the newspaper or you may be able to call a Real Estate person.

Let me find a link to our local paper.

Also if you need any help there are quite a few of us from Joliet and surrounding area.

STREET on here lives in Braidwood.

I will be working at the nuke plant.. I would assume you do as well... I havent stepped foot into a nuke plant in over a year since I left the navy... it pays too well to not go back to it.. oh and thanks for the newspaper info.. it should help out finding a place to stay.. I just dont want to find a place and be in the middle of war zone.. cuz I know here in atl if you are living in the wrong place you better have a bullet proof vest.. but i reckon that goes for anyplace... oh but the best news of all is that I just put on a new set of metzler rennsports on my bike and she is ready to hit the autobahn or blackhawk when i get there but one thing is for sure.. getting used to the weather.. its gonna be 75 sunny today and 77 sunny tomm.. sure beats the hell oputta the snow you all may be getting

STAY OFF the eastside of Joliet and you should be fine, UNLESS you move to New Lenox or Frankfort.

Like I said plenty of us live around the area if you need any help.

Hey thats no bull shit I have been looking for a few weeks southern joliet. 150`s will get you a small ranch good size yard. easy access to highways. I am putting my small house for sale in week or two. I am considering moving to the joliet area! Since i am there 95% of time already. I belive you live wear you want not wear you work F*&* gas prices! You only live once. Plus the bike is cheaper to run than my tank.

A good rule of thumb, but you can score a decent place on sw/far east sides of Joliet also. Just gotta be careful where you shop for groceries.

In the next couple of years I'll be buying in either Channahon, Minooka, older part of Shorewood or far northern part of Wilmington. Just gotta get off my dead ass and commit to something for once in my life
