how much crap will I get by providing my email address? I would sign it but... how does an online petition effect what will happen to this guy? shouldnt this all be a formal process through the court system or the Police system or something?

it says I was #3825

We cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home.

We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. When the loyal opposition dies, I think the soul of America dies with it.

i had the link in the first post. read up about it, there is plenty of info there, along with the recorded messages of the event. Unless you think he might have an excuse for handling the call the way he did

does it really matter? his job is to respond to emergency calls. "the boy who cried wolf" is a cute little fable, but the officer's job is to respond professionally to each and every call no matter what.

It does absolutely nothing like every other online "petition" other than make people think it matters. Cop was already disciplined from the dept and of course teh union is saying that the punishment is too harsh (15 days suspended with pay last I heard). When will people realize that petitions are only valid if they are SIGNED BY HAND with name and address on paper.

With the number of hits that site gets they get paid well by their sponsors.

Maybe we should get a petition going around forcing Ken to grow hair.

Jay, didn't see your post in the other thread before. It gives a some missing info like that fact that he was a dispatcher instead of a cop on the beat. Still not signing a petition though.

Illaggie, seeing as how he's a dispatcher i would have to agree with you.

Nick, is it so bad to want all the info in a situation before signing a petition that wants to end someone's career?

My name is JB, people call me JB

he was still a sworn officer... I know it's very difficult answering phones and pushing buttons all day

I believe they said he had 18 years on the job... im sure they all weren't spent dispatching
