Logtar's Possible new bike

I went bike shopping yesterday and I sat on one of these, I think I am in love. 90 cubic inch, four-stroke, air/oil cooled, 45 degree V-twin, SOHC, 6-valves

Now if I can get the right price so far the bet OTD price I have found is 11,200.

Awesome looking ride John!!! When i was at Motosource on Tuesday they had some pretty sweet cruisers there as well. Give Kevin (kc6) or WSE a hit up and see what they can do for ya!

If you are out of state do you still have to pay IL tax on a bike? Just curious....

generally speaking with cars, NO. You have to pay Michigan sales tax when you go to get License plates. I could be wrong, but that is the way the dealerships I worked in always did it

From what I have seen in the last couple of years in the street riding sportbike side, I have come to the conclusion that even though as much as I love it, sportbikes are a lot funner in the track. I am not preaching here, just stating my personal prefference. I love riding and I miss it, and now that I am this far it would be a lot easier to get on a cruiser and take a trip to Chitown than in a sportbike.

I will get a trackbike as soon as I get the means hey if I win the lotto I will get a couple.

I loved the bike when I saw it and sat on it... the motor looks solid and it has the FI technology and lots of power. I might even look at one used, I am still in the process of making the decision... but if I am going new I think this will be the one.

I have been looking at those too, I sat on a couple yesterday too... it is all about the best deal I can get I am more willing to finance a cruiser... a sportbike I would probably go used. You did bring a really good point about the resell value... I am still making the decision, this bike just made me drool, it is sweet looking and when I sat on it it just felt right!

I know you're mind is probably set already but go check out a Harley if you can make time. You may be suprised at the deals you may get. That takes care of the resale value issue. A couple G's in front, saves you big $$$ at resale.

And then I can call you "Bro".

Did you also look at the VTX1300 or VTX1800?

I'm looking into getting a VTX1300 hopefully before mid-summer

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

I too am looking at getting a cruiser. I am looking at getting another VTX1800. I had one a couple years back. I loved it. Cruising is really cool if you don't try to race anyone.

to those of you interested in VTX - you can still get leftover 2003 VTX for a GREAT price.

i've picked mine up two week ago for only $7999 out of state. it's a 1800 VTX C in black. by saving 4G from the 'new' price you are taking care of resale value. and you'll get one of the most powerful cruisers for a great price.
