If he gets off on an anger-manage-my-ass-ment loophole, it will prove how little respect we bikers get.

Hyneman is in jail charged with vehicular assault and failure to stay at the scene of an injury accident.

How about Attempted Murder? He did it on purpose, fuck this petty vehicular assault and failure to stay at the scene, I want an attempted vehicular manslaughter or something like that. This idiot almost killed a kid

+1

At the very least he should be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, earning him a few decades in jail, and not a few years

actually, if the insurance company did it on purpose, they don't have to cover it, because it's not an accident, but his parents could loose everything...

I think Attempted Murder would be nearly impossible to stick on him. The prosecutor would have to prove that he was intentionally trying to KILL the motorcyclist. The fact that he didn't die would work against the prosecutor.

They hit him with the charges they knew would hold up in court. It sucks, but thats the legal system. Plus side is that it's very likely he will do some prison time. Unless he has a squeaky clean record.....

I think they should put this insecure prick munch on a bike and let the other guy have a pick up truck and a free shot at him.

question,

what will happen to his driving privledges? IMHO he should never be able to drive again, he has proven that he doesn't have the mental capacity to handle a vehicle

Uhm, the fact that no one died makes it an ATTEMPTED murder. And what more prove does one need, when there is a witness (his girlfriend)? It's like saying a guy pulled out a gun, shot some people because his girlfriend made a remark about them, and since no one died he can't get charged with attempted murder. Granted that are legal system is fucked beyoud hope....

All i'd ask, is to have 20 minutes with him in a room.....

The worst part is he WILL drive, just not legally.

There was an incident at a gas station near my old apartment where some guys were boxing and one guy jumped in his car and tried (repeatedly) to run the other guy over. They charged the guy in the car with the aggravated assault/deadly weapon. He got like 15yrs.

The bs charge they gave this kid will prolly earn him probation, suspended sentence or some shit.

I would just like to see the harshest charge that they can prosecute, attempted murder will never stick. Prosecutors would have to prove that he was actually planning to kill them. That would never stick, the crime was "spur of the moment"

Hopefully the AMA will get involved and make something happen

i think it depends on how the story actually played out. I mean, I have said before "omg, is that my ex?" but nothing lke this followed. I think it depends on how much she knew her bf would go beserk like this.

Are you trying to get people killed? You are such a mind fucker!

On a serious note, it is terrible that this dick head is probably going to get off super easy because he didn't actually kill anyone. "Close" now counts in horseshoes, handgrenades and the legal system.
