I'm really liking this off roading stuff, but don't know where to go? Hopefully I could head out to colorado this year, but I want to test it out some place close first. And I'm not talking some extreme rock crawling. Just some fun trails. I know there's the badlands in Indiana, but is there a place in Illinois? Any of you into this kinda stuff?

I been on some it Kentucky years ago with my old truck. I do light off roading now. My father-in-law has a mid 80's Ford Bronco and we're going to fix it up for off roading.

I offroad pretty seriously, been doing it for almost 6 years. Im actually going to school so that I can build rock crawlers. I know a great place right outside of Chicago, and if you want, I can hook you up with some people that go there often.

Before you go out to Colorado, make sure that your truck is fully prepaired. There really are no fun light trails out there, the fun stuff is either hard or harder. Now that I think about it though, there are some that you could do with a minimum of 33" offroad tires that are decent. I lived in Colorado Springs for awhile, so before you head out there, let me know.

If you need help with setting up your truck, I can recommend alot of great brands and help you pick what you need for what you want to do. I dont want to sound pushy, I just dont know how much you know.

Used to when I bought my Sonoma in 92. But all teh trails we had up here were closed down by the county thanks to idiots who dump trash on the trails.

Hey, I ment to give you pics of my Jeep and some of the places I have gone. Click on the link below and one of the albums has pics from the place near Chicago. Right now my Jeep is in the middle of another transformation. When Im done it will be on 37" tires, and be a mix of Ford, Chevy, and Jeep. LOL.

Yowsers! That's a little too hardcore for me. I just bought a 2005 4runner so I don't wanna do anything hardcore like that. But I do want to do some trails my 4runner can handle. I just installed 3" lift kit, and will probably get some 32" tires, but that's probably it.

Just me, but I wouldn't get an expensive brand new SUV and take it off roading. Too much potential to get all facked up, especially the paint.
