Custom Bikes

Hmmm ..... I am conflicted. I like sportbikes, but do not like custom sportbikes.
I do not like cruisers, but like custom choppers/cruisers.
I am also a little fond of OCC......hmmmmm

.

:thumbsdown

I can appreciate the work that goes into making a custom sportbike, but I do not like the result 90% of the time.
I like a sportbike stock, or with some unique customizations. A non-complicated paintjob is also good for me.

Although I do like Race Replica'd bikes

Why do I like custom choppers, and not custom sportbikes? What are the custom bikes that you like?

I'm the same way, I've never seen a custom sportbike with a real elaborate paintjob that I didn't think was fugly but there are alot of choppers that I like. Although I am a sucker for stretched and lowered old GSXR's but without the tacky paintjobs.

Hey Brian,

I saw the bike in your 1st pic or one almost identical to it over at Windwalker's last summer and I gotta say I like it alot. A very minimalist approach using the frame for oil storage and the swingarm served exhaust duties. Carbon seat and some other CF goodies. Not something you see often, that's for sure.

I do like the true customs sportbikes like the one by roland sands up there, other wise a repainted, chromed sportbike I dont consider custom, its just a refurbished wreck

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Yeah, that is a Confederate bike. They like the carbon fiber, and me too. I would not mind seeing one of those in person. Sharp ride

I really don't care for custom sportbikes, like tony said just a refurbished wreck to me. I like sportbikes with performance upgrades and I think chrome on sportbikes is gaudy, just me though. I like the streetfightered bikes too, and I find myself really liking custom cruisers/choppers with clip on handlebars like this one you posted

I like the street fighters, the others I appreciate the workmanship, and I'll leave it at that. Highly custom bikes are great to look at, well maybe, not the Busa's or the chromed stretched Gixxers, a little long in the tooth for my likings, but they are art work, not truly meant to be riden IMHO.

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.
