What do you mean The threads that get locked are the ones that turn into a big dramafest. The ones with actual valuable content and ones where people are having fun go strong.

I dunno, in the past month or two is just seems like more and more threads have been blocked/locked for unknown(to the masses) reasons. Then these threads aren't deleted and become dead-end links...

For a recent example the "What do ya think of replacing my Bus with this? " thread is currently locked. This was no drama-fest until the Mods/Admins made it one, and Sandman is now denied the chance to even apologize publicly or to defend himself so something so stupid.

Insults and flaming don't fly here, and he is not banned so he can still apologize.

this isnt nor will we have drama threads going on in CLSB...if someone wants to start drama threads and get all wild up..there are other websites that dont mind there site going to hell.

not here.

a closed thread is a closed thread..cause we made it so anything that might further negative come about it will end right then in there..versus an all out war of words.
and it WILL be deleted in the future.
if someone has something to say..they can do what you just did to find out.
make a thread about it
simple as that

other then that i dont think theres need to so explainatory about all the steps we take. pretty much people already know what flys and doesnt fly around here.

Unreal....

Well, you can run your house the way you like, but I don't agree. I've seen hostility towards Michael for awhile now. Yeah, maybe he rubs people the wrong way at times, but I never saw a reason for him to be banned.

But it appears Sandman did not directly flame or insult anyone here. If you read the posts Sandman replied to Tony never mentions where the boat is parked or who lives in that area...who owns the boat or home....ect Sandman simply made a humorous comment about the $200,000 boat parked in front of a $200,000 house which I at least found funny, kinda like parking your 100K MercedesBenz in front of a trailer home(NO OFFENSE TO TRAILER PARK RESIDENTS!!!!!!!LMAO). This is what made me question why the thread was locked. And even if someone intentionally insulted/flamed another member of the board I don't agree with the grade-school manner this was handled. The way the thread reads to me is like the mods just wanted to take their shots and have the last word at Sandmans expense. Sure he could explain/apologize privately or via another thread, but that wouldn't have the same impact as if he could just reply directly to his attackers.

I guess I just didn't understand why everyone got so pissed over a dumb comment, Hell I envy the "shitty townhouse" in question and hope to own a residence that nice one day. But I didn't take offense. Maybe I just have thick skin and can take a laugh?

Jack, you go pee and get beers I'll go make popcorn. LOL

And everyone layoff Michael, he plays a key role as resident smartass... the mans just doin his job ;-) LOL

mark i see your point...but the fact was it was a shitty comment...also too...tonys close friends/family is right there..and when someone insults something close....you voice out!
which he did.

hey...theres nothing stopping sandman from saying anything about how he feels , thinks, or etc...when he returns to and or decides to comment.

but trust me...if that was my house in the back ground and someone made the comment...you bet damm right i would freaking pissed.

what a man calls home it is his castle..no matter what the $$$$ or size.

it was a rude ass comment plain and simple..and to further have other people keep adding the same thing (verbal negative comments to which someone placed just makes it get LARGER out of hand.

before you know the guy that lives there starts to look for someone and then..ya never know..might as well just stop the drama...this is a close website here..not a bunch of strangers..and for the guys arnt close yet with other memebers..hey in time there always bonding to be made...you simple cant just tell someone to go fuck themselfs without knowing and have a relation with that person.
it wont work.

First of all Micheal has had more warnings than Saddam Hussien. He has yet to reply to one of them. Simple as that. It's his own fault not ours.

As far as threads being closed. That happens because thats what I ask the moderators on this site to do. It is a long standing rule that flamming is not allowed on this sight. Yet we still let it go from time to time. If it gets out of hand we PM the members involved and ask them to edit thier posts. If that fails we then either close the thread or trim it down and delete the offending posts. That is what keeps a smooth running message board. Thats exactly how SBN was ran and thats exactly how this one is run.

Understand that a lot of you only see a part of the Drama that can go on here in a day. Heck there are some members that set off my pager everytime they post so I can keep an eye on them and make sure they arent offending everyone on the board.

This site is not a flame fest. There are other sites out there that certain members here go to just to flame people and thats it. Then they come back here to hang with thier friends.

and as far as parties not having the oportunity to publicly appolgize because a thread was closed. Public appoligies are always accepted in new threads. Or private ones via mine or Kens PM box.

I can count on one hand the amount of people I have had to ban for being an ass. and I dont like having to do, unfortunatly it's the final step. Sometimes those people even get let back in as two members here can attest too.

yep...this shit behind the curtains..sometimes gets deep as tony says...we dont like having to do things and other times...we have to.

ive been on line since 9am..doing nothing more then cleaning, and dealing with drama today...i am just waiting to get to strats and have some fun talking with friends and not talking about drama shit on our site that non of us really want to deal with.
we care, there for sometimes it takes some dealings that the WHOLE might not understand but for the WHOLE it works better.

and nothing is better then to have fun and laugh our ass's of versus..dealing with nasty people doing rude things..who ever they are.

in my life and i am sure in most of yours...i dont let shit (#2 kaka) sit on my floor in my home with out cleaning it up fast.
other wise..i do what i can in life to get ride or not allow negative things to interfer with my life and or business or anything i do.

sure maybe i am a cold hearted prick? but sometimes thats what it takes to get a good job done. and so far for me after years of having shit pile up..ive gotten into a good habbit of cleaing it up YEARS ago.

Kinda funny sittin back reading all this. Seems like drama to justify cleanin up the drama. Now that was a joke. And yes the use of the word "Shitty" in Sandmans comment made it come off a bit harsh, but I got the just of the joke. But then again I am removed from the personal nature of the pic.

I truly am sorry to hear this news. I have to agree w/ Jack. As brutally honest as some of his posts were, I wish he wasn't banned. And even if he did step out of line, I wouldn't think banning him would have been an option.

And gets Banned? Multiple warnigs or not that's kinda Hell, I'm sure 1000 of my posts are the same!

We have threads and threads of the best "Three way drama club" and nothing is done, nothing is blocked, nothing is deleted(except the original posters deleting what they said for various reasons!) It does crack me up that the drama is ok in some cases, but not others.

I've gotta to agree with Jack/Doc/Mark here, but hell, it's not my site. Lord knows I don't agree with stuff round here some times, but hey, what the hell.

Michael is Michael, and Sandman is Sandman. (that comment did crack me up) Hell, Lupi is Lupi for that matter(see what I mean?!?!) I'm a smartass as much as the next guy. But is this was the "straw that broke the camels back?"

Oh well....what's a fella to do

oh and by the way...the whole reason i dont make a WHOLE thread on why he was banned was purley simple...(it would be considered flaming a member..and thats not right to do..) even in explainly why.
so thats why i ask to keep it private.
