TIVO Help

Well, our Replay TV finally died after 5 years. However..this TIVO is screwed up. It's recording every single show on CSPAN for some reason...how the hell do you get it to stop??? It is a lot more difficult then Replay TV.
There has to be something that she did to have it record all this junk...any suggustions would be appreciated.

Life is too short to ride anything but an R1

In memory of FastBlueR1...RIP

its recording recommended shows based on your previous viewing patterns. you can turn this off in the settings. i hate that stupid thing. I taped a couple cubs games and the thing thought I like all sports, recorded tons of nascar for me!

check your season passes screen and make sure she didn't add it to the list. if it's not that then just give it some thumb down ratings and it should stop recording it

I guess she was playing wit hthe remote and there is a thumbs up button...well she was seeing what it does and I guess she hit a thumbs up to talkshow on CSPAN....and it's recording every single damn talk show on CSPAN. Guess I just need to know how to reverse this.

The only show in the season pass is her stupid fricking Soap Opera she wants recorded everyday.

Like I said...ReplayTV was alot easier to operate...but I guess I just need to get use to TIVO.

Chey...no I am still bikeless.....gonna get around to getting another one eventually...but I want to throw up a deck and a fence, so I am going to hold off until next year.

if it's recording a Suggestion show, you really don't have to worry about it. As soon as you change the channel it will stop recording. Or if it's already recorded you don't have to bother going through the Now Showing listing and delete it. It's the lowest priority on the list of shows to keep around if the need for disk space comes up and it will discard those files first.

Yeah takes some getting used to, but overall I think Tivo's interface and features rocks over ReplayTV's
