Looks like I may get to go to Cubs/redsox

I just heard that my company rented out a rooftop for one of the Cubs/Redsox games. i think we have like 200 people going. My boss is going to pick who gets to go depending on what customer we decide to bring. I think I have someone very good lined up for this. We are flying in all the VIPs form our Arizona office and some of one of our supplier's VIPs from Boston. It should be pretty awesome Although i think it cost my company around 30-40k. Pretty high priced if you ask me.

Your ending quote about MSU was used in the Playboy poll of 1981 and referred to Ohio University.

Bill Taborn, Jr.

"For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard..."

The first turn is the worst turn, between the left ear and the right one.

Roof Tops blow. (and so do the Cubs)
Been on one once, certainly wouldn't never pay for it to be that far away.
Something to do once, and that's it IMO.

I don't like when a vendor takes you. Then he's talking business when I want to be watching the game and not thinking anything about work.

Free/all you can drink beer/food is a good deal.

luckily I don't plan on talking business at all with the person I'm going with. i'll introduce them to some bigs and that's it. We keep these things fun and really never talk business. we just get our customers drunk and keep them happy.....plus, like you said, IT'S FREE!

I went to the Cub's Home Opener and sat in one of the skyboxes. We had a vendor invite us. We probably talked business for 5 mins and that was it. Having to spend 5 mins talking to a vendor was totally worth it. In the skybox to the left of us was Ryne Sandberg and in the sky box to the right of us was Mr. Cub himself, Ernie Banks. I got a baseball signed by the both of 'em!!!!!

The rooftop experience was with a VAR (more for the unix part of IT)
That was bogus.

When I went to Cubs game with MCI . There was no business talk.
Whats there to talk about. When we need data/voice lines, we call you.

We were in a skybox. Since the seats were taken up in front of the box. We were inside and helped ourselfs to many hot dogs and submarine sandwhiches. I had a difficult time following the game. Perhaps from drinking to much the night before. Didn't even feel like you were there in a almost sound proof box with the doors shut.

I'm not big on autograph's,
I still hate skyboxes and rooftops. Getting out of work and free food/drinks though is priceless

You will have a blast. I did a roof top game once and we had a blast. I won it at a place in La Grange called Palmers Place. Heiniken was having a raffle and my X wife and me won 2 tickets. All the Heinies and you wanted and free steak, burgers and brats It was a sweet time. Have fun you will enjoy it. Hopefully the weather is 80 and sunny!

I am going to the game on Sunday and I'm a little scared of the weather. it's supposed to be high of 49 with rain/snow according to weather.com. I guess that means I'll just have to get really drunk at cubby bear before hand.
