Im a MOM! (Sort of...)

No, no. I didnt have kids. (Thank god!)

Today at work (PetsMart) I found 10 Silver Lyretail Molley fry and 2 black Molley fry, and my manager let me take them home. I even spend the money on a tank and filter for them (I figure I can always use it again for something later). Im SOOOOO excited that I just had to share, hahaha. These are my first fish besides bettas, so its really neat.

Anyone else here keep tropicals?

Fish Fry at TexasBlonde's!

My boy breeds them and keeps them. Even has that tank in the back when they get sick and need to be seperated for treatment. He's deep into it. I don't know what you're talking about outside of catfish, perch and other things I can fry.

Still congratulations!

I've been keeping fish for years. Got a 55g freshwater with some boesmani rainbows and a couple of clown loaches. Then a 29g saltwater with two clownfish and a strawberry basslet. I started of with mollys and tetras, other cheap fish like that. I suggest reading a couple of books on the subject. Don't feel bad if some of your fish die, as you are a beginner. One of my clown loaches is 7 years old! Mollys are pretty hearty though. You should have a tank and filter set up for at least a few days to a week before adding fish. Don't forget a heater and thermometer too. 76-80f. good luck!

Years Riding: Longer than most of you have been alive. And I'm still slow.
How you found us: The voices in my head told me to come here

I have a 20 gal full of guppies for my 4 year old. It used to hold feeder goldfish for my lion.
A 73 gal bowfront marine fowler in the den.
A 55 hospital in the basement.
A 210 gal all glass marine fowler in my office.
A 300 gal acrylic with center overflows sitting in my garage waiting on a stand to be used as a room divider between the living room and dining room. It will be my first reef. All the plumbing will be in the basement. It should be very cool.

I've had fish more on than off for 40 years.

Welcome to another EXPENSIVE addiction.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.
