Costco

We're thinking of getting a membership at Cosco. My inlaws shop there and I do get a lot of stuff when we go with them, but we don't go everytime they go. Anyone here shop there? If so how do you like it?

I have a membership. I like it. It's like most warehouse places, you have to buy a 10 pack of everything. It's jsut like Sam's club but not owned by the evil Wal-mart. I think you can get a free 1 week card to check it out before buying a membership. If you have a family it's a kick ass place. If you are a single guy try to talk one of your married friends into joining and going with him. I got a free card thru my aunts work, she got a membership thru work.

hahaha!! Talk to my dad, I swear. He goes there almost every day. He knows the names of all the people who give out free samples and everything. It's almost embarrassing, but then I have to keep reminding myself that my dad is my dad to me-- but to everyone else he's "that funny old man who has nothing else to do but come in here."

Really though-- the food is great, and it's a great deal if you are having a party or something. As for canned food and cereal and such-- it's not much of a savings over the grocery store. It just makes buying in bulk easier.

Gotta love costco. It's the only place where you can go to buy a razor and end up with a faucet, a laptop, 200 rolls of toilet paper, and a tent.

Looking for your basic jeans for work, one the guys said they had them $14.......great just not my size....sold out...walked to the very far end of the parking lot.....Walmart....same brand.....my size...in stock......$11.88!!! Goodbye Cosco.....and they want me to pay them to shop there???? I think not!

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

"Excuse me, where's the poo paper?"

I have a membership and let's be real here - it's a store to buy bulk. They, IMO, are better than Sam's Club because it's a better choice of things and more selection. But hey, to me they're almost basically the same. I still would hit Costco before Sam's though.
I do know it's goofy to go there for a single item. You go there be ready to buy big. For a single person hit Cub's and then go to Costco for your bulk of supplies or whatever. For a family it's just a good thing to do. Bags of chicken and good steaks. No, it's not the 5-star restuarant stuff but then again, look at what we're discussing here.
Though I do like the fact that I can get 30 rolls of poo paper and just sit back and chill. lol

I love Cosco! When i buy dog food once a month the money saved pays my membership! The food is AWESOME!! Birthday cakes are great as well!

The only downside is they take Amex & discover i believe--otherwise its check or cash. (or debit too now that i think about it.) I typically just spend cash.

I try to shop as little as possible at wal-mart. Or little China as it would seem...Those little gold stickers drive me NUTS! Yes i know everything is made in China now a days but that place is COMPLETELY ridiculous with the China stuff!

i have a Sam's card and love it. We don't have Costco in PA or in TN so it was the only thing I knew. I have yet to go to a Costco, but from the board and others it's the same. I only go for meat, paper products, bulk lunch snacks and liquor. Still a better deal than the grocery stocks
