Motorcycle course

Hey everyone, Just moved here from Florida and looking to take the Motorcycle safety class. I went online and all the classes show sold out. Has anyone gone and done the lottery?? Is it worth driving there every Friday night to try to get into the class, or should I just take the driving test at the DMV.

Thanks,
Brian

the class is definitely worth it. I've heard of a lot of people having good luck with the lottery, I'd do it.

thanks guys,

Next question, should I try College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn or Wuabonse(sp) in Sugar Grove. COD looks like they have 2 every weekend and Sugar Grove only has 1 per week. I am in Naperville which would closer or actually is a better bet in getting in on the lottery.

Thanks again.

Can you ride? be honest. IMHO I think the couse is a cop out so ya dont have to take the test. If you cant pass the test at the DMV well then Ill refrain, but yea go take the course.

This is gonna hurt!

If you can ride just take the DMV test. As far as the class, wabonse tends to be less crowded. Everyone in the burbs goes to COD. Less people out in the "country". I HEAR there a lot of openings at Caterpillar factory in Oswego.

In your free time take the class, insurance discount.

I don't know about the lottery--is this for walk-ins? Most venues will take the names of walk-ins in the order that the people appear. Often everyone who signed up in advance for a course doesn't show. In those cases, the walk-ins get a shot right there before the class begins. It's worth a try. The course is helpful. I recommend it.
