All winter long I've been feeding two squirrels that have been living in my tree for about a year. They've brought me a lot of joy watching them hop from branch to branch, play around and try to hump each other all day. Cutest little things.
About a month ago, apparently, one didn't make it across the street fast enough(flat).
It broke my heart to know that the other one would be without his/her playmate.
I buried him/her (squished real good so I couldn't tell) across the street from me.
I've beem watching and feeding the lone fuzzball for about a month now. Then yesterday
, another flat squirrel.
There he/she lays, flat, at the end of my driveway. I'm emtionally crushed.
Actually, I was thinking of starting a flat animal zoo in their honor. Ya know, little flat cages(wouldn't take much room), charge a flat fee to get in. You'd be able to see the whole zoo in about 10 second flat. If ya ran flat out maybe you could do it in 9 seconds. Oh well, rest in peace my fuzzy little buddies.
