An aweful week:(

Last Wednesday afternoon, got the dreaded call, my Mom had a brain stroke, I had to fly home that afternoon, I didn't sleep for 3 days. I was so glad when she came out of the coma, and smiled and asked what I was doing there! I had never been so terrified in my entire life, the whole time I was thinking "Lord, just give me one more chance to tell her how much she means to me" And in whatever religion you believe in, I thanked that diety for granting that wish. On top of my Mom problems, Diane's Dad ended up in the hosiptal again, for more heart related problem, needless to say I've had enough of hosiptals for a long long time.

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

I'm at a loss for words except sorry to hear about the bad news.

If you need "an ear to chew on", you know my number.

Hope things get better for your family.

Bernie

Look, I can appreciate this. I was young too, I felt just like you. Hated authority, hated all my bosses, thought they were full of shit. Look, it's like they say, if you're not a rebel by the age of 20, you got no heart, but if you haven't turned establishment by 30, you've got no brains. Because there are no story-book romances, no fairy-tale endings. So before you run out and change the world, ask yourself, "What do you really want?"

I'm so sorry, Rick. That is something I hope I never have to go through. I am relieved that your mom woke up alright, and I hope Diane's dad will be okay.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Stroke is probably the scariest thing that can happen to a body. I'm glad your mom is recovering, and that she recognized you when she woke up. Here's hoping she's getting the best of care. It's clear she's getting all your love.

Hate to hear stuff like this - I have been there man and it sucks - I hated sitting there and just prayin - Glad she woke up and sounds as if she is on her way back to good health - Sorry to hear of your father in law (if that is what he is to ya) and being a friend from the north, tell your ma that her recovery just might bring back the NHL next year - Leafs fan?

My condolences
