Cool Any Campers Out There??

I'm not sure if anyone camps on here or not, but I got this catalog in the mail from an online campstore.

I don't know if they are any good or if their prices are any good, but figured I would pass there website on if anyone was interested.

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

We camp and thanks for the site. We're camping in Sheriden that weekend we're all meeting at Starved Rock.

YEP! Huge fan of camping here and I got the same catalog . One of the biggest things that interested me was the food options that are ready to go. I imagine they are similar to military style meals...add water, some fire and you're good to go. Now, normally when we camp, we don't exactly rough it. We generally go to sites that have the fire pit/grill, bring a cooler with all the goodies, a bunch of booze, have the car nearby, etc. While that is great, I'd like to do some hike-in camping with minimal supplies. We've never really bothered because if I'm going to do it, I want some clean rivers or lakes nearby where I can catch fresh fish and we just haven't been able to find time to get far enough away where such things exist . Anyway, other goodies I want to buy include a head light (those always come in handy), a backpack designed for camping gear, camel bak....and a few others I can't think of... Tell ya what, when you live in the city, there's nothing like getting the hell away from all these assholes and just spending some time in the woods.

yeah, I got the same catalog. You guys know I'm into backpacking, mountaineering, and camping.

DJDevo, if you're into backpacking check out this thread, I'm putting together another trip in July.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

We do lots of camping, if you can call it that, Self contianed unit with A/C, DVD/TV, AM/FM CD, bathroom shower, refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven /range, basically all the comforts of home. Used to do a lot of tenting it, but after ten years as a grunt in the Army and eating lots of "C" rations (pre MRE), I had had enough of the roughin it. Now I like to be as comfy as possible.

I get that flyer in the mail. Can't comment of the company, but most of the gear carries a quality name.
