What will Saturday and Sunday be like in Elkhart Lake?

Will we even see rain?

I've never gone wrong with this info I get from a site when planning a flight...so if you can make sense of it then cool. Basically some rain passing through off and on.

AT THIS TIME...WILL HOLD POPS JUST TO
WEST/SOUTHWEST OF FCST AREA THROUGH SUNRISE...WITH BETTER CHANCES
DURING THE DAY SATURDAY AS SHORT WAVE MOVES OVERHEAD. WILL KEEP
CHANCE NORTHERN PORTIONS OF FCST AREA SAT EVENING...AS SHORT WAVE
AND WARM FRONT LIFT OUT OF AREA...THEN AM EXPECTING A LULL UNTIL
EARLY SUNDAY MORNING AS NEXT VORT MOVES ACROSS THE PLAINS AND COLD
FRONT MOVES INTO IOWA. BETTER LOW LEVEL INSTABILITY IN PLACE SUNDAY
WITH FORECAST AREA IN WARM SECTOR WITH SFC DEWPOINTS INTO THE MID
60S ON ALL MODELS. SHOULD BE A BREEZY WARM AND MORE HUMID DAY. SFC
FLOW BECOMES MORE SOUTHWEST AHEAD OF COLD FRONT...WITH DEEP SHEAR
BECOMING MORE UNIDIRECTIONAL THOUGH SUFFICIENT FOR ORGANIZED STORMS
AND SLGT SVR RISK. VORT AND SFC COLD FRONT MOVE ACROSS FORECAST AREA
SUNDAY EVENING...WHICH SHOULD END PCPN THREAT WEST TO EAST ACROSS
CWA. WITH SLIGHT COOL/DRY ADVECTION BEHIND FRONT AND UPPER RIDGING
AGAIN DEVELOPING INTO MS VLY...WILL GO DRY FOR MONDAY.

It doesn't look too good, Kevin. The forecast shows 40% chance of thunderstorms on Saturday and 50% chance on Sunday, plus thunderstorms overnight.

I'd say be ready with your rain gear and umbrellas.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!
