Tell me about it. I have a fan blowing in my office 24/7.

We're moving into a new building next door. I designed the computer room with the limited space we had there. But now I will have an office with a seperate server room with it's own ac unit installed.

If anyone is looking for a nice server cabinet I'm getting rid of one. Its real nice..made by Hubbell. My bosshole will let it go cheap I'm sure.

No its nice and cool, only one PC actually running in here with KVM over ethernet............This is where all the action is, in the server room......seperately climate controlled at 64 degrees...I find myself hiding in here alot when its hot in the general office....

you call that a server room! ha! I'll have to get pictures of my data center, we probably have 8-10 of those compaq racks, mostly filled with 1U servers. Looks really pretty with the lights off.

Oh, so sorry great one.....I would love to work someplace like that, but I am pretty much stuck at a small manufacturing company......The most impressive server farm I ever actually walked though was the MOTIENT one in Lincolnshire....They had the whole first floor of a building, false floor for the cabling....literally hundreds of racks packed tightly, the NOC center on third floor was impressive as well.

Man, when I was working at Lucent I should have taken some pics of my fellow employees' offices. Some of those offices looked like mini Library of Congresses. I swear, IT and Telecom workers are the biggest pack-rats.

i don't work at the law firm any more, and it was a VERY large law firm that I used to work for, and they had a very nice document imaging equipment (there was a team of people that did it and it was stored on a CD burner drive that cataloged like 500 CD's.

it is really funny to see companies that claim to be at the front of the technology curve and they are still storing paper for legal compliance but have absolutely no idea how to find it should there ever be a need. it is always a good laugh when you see something like that.

A buddy of mine works for citadel downtown...Very impressive facility...They have the clean room oxygen sucking server room...or at least its rumored. The idea being, in case of a fire, the system sucks all the o2 out of the air. No O2, no fire. Everyone in that fucking company has at LEAST 2 17" flat panel monitors. Most have 4-6. Bastards
