Comcast customers?

I've had DirecTV and SBC (voice/DSL) for years at my old place, but with the new house I going with Comcast for TV and Internet services.

Is anyone using any of the new all-in-one devices for cable Internet access (i.e. Linksys WCG200 cable modem/router/Wireless Access Point). I'm not looking forward to dealing with Comcast as my past expereinces fixing connectin for freinds have been less-than-favorable.

Should stay with SBC & DishNetwork

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

I have the digital cable and cable modem service. Other than the price (about 127 per month) I could not be happier. The cable modem is smokin', they say 4 mb and they mean it. I get about 4.3 mb. Wish they could swing my cable and internet service for 100 per month but what can you do. Besides I live in a condo that does not allow dishes anyhow.

I was getting >6MB DSL at my old place, I could almost see the SBC Remote Terminal from my window I was so close But Comcast has a deal right now for 4MB Internet access and the Silver OnDemand package for $49 for 6 months (which was bumped up to $55 when I added the Speed Channel). It'll be another $5 bump when I get the HD receiver as well....

How much after 6 months and your probably locked in for a year with a penalty for breaking the contract. They usually make their money back somehow.

I just think Cable is OVERPRICED

Comcast is month-by-month services, and I'll just change to a different promotion after 6 months, or downgrade the TV package; I never watch TV anyway. Just movies, plus I bittorrent stuff like Family Guy so I can watch it whnever I want, and without commercials.

I liked my DirecTV, but I had a base package that started at $19 over five years ago and it was just up over $50 before I cancelled it this week.

I love COmcast for internet. Although check the fine print, usually those intor rates and spaced out, example your 1st, 4th, 7th and 12th month are that price the other months in between are regular price. I've seen this a few times in thier advirtizements.

I personally use Comcast for my internet with a wireless router, then I have vonage for VOIP, and directv for tv. altogether that puts me at 144 a month. but I am really happy that none of that money go's to SBC

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Comcast is much better now. I would say that customer service has improved greatly, not much service down time, and the price for my basic cable and internet is unbeatable by any other combo. I pay $39 a month (average) for 4mb internet and basic cable with HBO. Well actually the basic cable is free

I have comcast at my house now. I am moving very soon to Wheaton and will order Comcast there. I do have a dish on side of the house. But I like the high speed Comcast has. Plus its been very reliable.

I always rented my modems. Fricken blown 5 of them over the years since I was a beta tester. (Dont ask how) But they just replace it and I am back running.

Long live the Blue Dot!!!!

I am paying 42.99 for internet and 42.99 for standard cable. I would rather go to Wide Open West. You have a good deal going. I had internet before cable and I don't get a break on the internet price since I am not a new customer.

I have Comcast. I also have the WCG200 cable gateway. It works really well and broadcasts a fairly strong signal. My connection speed could be faster but w/e. Don't get the Cable Gateway unless you're planning to stick with Comcast, because otherwise it's paperweight.

i think comcast is getting rid of sci fi channel, and u need to upgrade to digital.

Comcast is awesome with cable. But their prices suck for cable tv. Especially, if you want to upgrade to digital.

Navigating through their site to access webpages, storage, email sucks a bit.

OF course the cable install didn't work for the internet; the guy just handed me a CD and said good luck. lol I didn't even bother.

Called Comcast and had them register the MAC address of my Linksys modem/router/toaster oven combo unit, and everything was up.

Currently sitting around 4MB, although less than my previous 6MB DSL, it's a third of the cost I was paying SBC.

Wow

When I lived in the Glen Ellyn area I had Wide Open West. Way better service and they spanked Comcast's ass when it came to prices.

DAVID

DID I LOG ONTO CLSB OR TMZ.COM WTF???

SBC can kiss my ASS LOL

I have Comcast net and cable. I'm not locked into any type of contract and that's why I went with them. If you play the game call both and tell howl the other company offered something lower. They tend to play "we can beat that price" game and you can benefit. Still what won me with Comcast was no contract AND very reliable service.
