Arghhhh

If you have to move in the near future, I would NOT recommend UHAUL...they are horrible. Heres the reason:

I had a reservation with just 19.95/day plus 99c/mile....in town move and when I returned the truck the dipshi* at MIDTOWN STORAGE in McHenry (don't recommend going there to give him business either) charged me for additional insurance and he told me that it was in my reservation.

Below you will see my reservation.....DON'T GO UHAUL USE PENSKE OR RYDER...

PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL. This is an automated message.

Thank you for your recent reservation.

You reference number is: 2984****
Your pickup date is: 6/14/2005

Your PREFERRED pickup location is: MIDTOWN STORAGE

The U-Haul regional office for MC HENRY, IL is now in charge of your
reservation. Someone from U-Haul will contact you by 5PM tomorrow to schedule
your exact pickup time and location. If they have not been able to reach you
within 24 hours, please contact our regional office at (800)775-1622. To change
or cancel your reservation, please contact us no later than the day prior to
your pickup date. Reservations cancelled on the day of pickup are subject to a
$50 cancellation fee. Please call the regional office to make changes, or if
you have further questions about your reservation. U-Haul reserves the right to
substitute equipment of equal or greater size at no additional charge to you.

Below you will find your order confirmation. Please print this e-mail for your

1....10' Truck..................................$19.95 plus $0.99/mile

.......................................Non-refundable service fee $5.00

.............................................Amoun t charged today $5.00

The total displayed above is only the total billed to you
today. The balance is due when you pickup the equipment.

These Services Are Currently Available:

Thank you for choosing U-Haul.

I complained to a regional office to a person by the neame of Veronica Darling and she was a complete B**ch...She was willing to lose a customer over 14 dollars. So people are just complete crooks.

Make sure you tell everyone ya know that UHAUL SUCKs and their customer service is even WORSe

UHAUL

i have heard alot of complaints about Uhaul recently. It seems that more and more people are advising to stay away from uhaul and go with Penske, Enterprise, Uhaul, etc.

I used uhaul a few months ago and they weren't too bad. Of couse they tried to sell me a bunch of crap that i didn't want. They forgot to put the green ties on the blanket holder and cart and then tried to charge me for it. And also they park the truck on a little bit of an incline which shows the gas fuller than it is. And when you bring it back you have to park it the other way so it shows less gas then it has. After talking to the manager who was also a rider, they took off the BS charges. I guess if it wasn't for him I'd be pretty pissed off about my Uhaul experience as well.

My name is JB, people call me JB

I used uhaul last Fall when I moved and had a good/bad relationship with them. I had problems with our closing so I had to leave the trucks loaded and parked for 5 days and their customer service called me that if I didnt unload them the next day they were going to file a stolen vehicle report I told them to have the police call me and Ill give them the location of the truck so they dont have to search for it he said I couldnt keep the trucks for 5 days because others were waiting for them. I asked how they knew where I was dropping them off if they never asked...furthermore if I was moving to CA it wouldve taken me more than 5 days to wrangler this piece of shit to CA anyway. Corporate did suck nuts

on the other hand.... the Uhaul location in Spring Grove could not have been more helpful and pleasant to deal with. My bill wouldve been over $1200 but she fudged some numbers and knocked it down to $850 or so. She was a peach to deal with.

WOO HOO, I WON . Got my money refunded today all 14 dollars of it. Holy Crap I wasted a bunch of time on this, just needed to speak to the right person. You are most likely thinking why the hell did he make all those phone calls for 14 bucks. It wasn't the money it was the principle of the matter.

It all depends on where you rent from

I had a Uhaul truck break down in my driveway when I bought my first home about 4 years ago. I plugged it in and al that crap. It was there for about 3 days!!
Then the guy that came out to fix it wanted to work on it in my driveway . They finally sent a to truck out and hauled it away. I also used them when I moved this past winter and had no issues and no extra charges.
