wisdom teeth

it's 230 and I just woke up because my mouth is all swollen. I'm taking some PM pain relievers but they're not really knocking me out here. I can't really close my mouth because i bite down into my gums each time i do. Basically, breakfast will be drawn through a straw this morning. I'm betting a bunch of you have been through this, what did you do?

vicodin

It really only hurt for a day for me. I had a three day weekend, not that bad on Monday. People really react differently to that. Some folks get really swollen, painful. I was a bit swollen, sore for a couple days.

I don't suggest taking vicodin after eating if you aren't used to it or have to drive. That stuff hits me hard, it's like shotgunning a 12 pack.

I cant recommend this but heres what i did and it works awesome for pain!

Okay first you have to have pain killers--i recommend Percocet or Darvecet but vicodin works too. If you have those then take the pill and put it into your lower lip (like those people that chew). You let it slowly dissolve there while sipping your favorite alcohol drink. Now my favorite for this is Jim Beam mixed with Mt. Dew. Just make sure its room temperature so it does not aggrevate the tooth.

TRUST ME---If you sip that untill the pills are dissolved you will feel NO pain!! In fact you will be lucky to feel anything on your body if i remember correctly! Where did i learn this you ask?? From an Army doctor but it was with Motrin 800Mg!!! I experimented and found that this truly works wonders with the above mentioned!!

Oh yeah.....By the time you start to feel this kicking in you may want to get near a couch or your bed---

Vicodin works wonders.... The swelling should only last a day or 2. Good luck bro!

I had mine out in boot camp. Got half a day in my rack and the next day I was back on my feet. Wasn't too bad though, i ended up selling the strong stuff they gave me. The motrin was enough for me.

+1

I had 5 of my wisdom teeth removed (they couldn't get the last one) and a few of the 800mg IB's did the trick. There was a guy in my division that was swollen like a MF, I think he had an alergic reaction.

there are only 4 wisdom teeth. Your dentist might've removed a non-wisdom tooth along with them, for whatever reasons.

um, how come no one has suggested.... GO TO A DENTIST!

i had mine out in HS. They were impacted, and they got dry sockets after they were pulled. Totally sucked, but today I have a lovely, healthy smile of which I am very proud.

I had all 4 of mine out at the same time. None of them were popped through the gums...they were all growing completely sideways and smashing my molars. I was in hell for about a week.

yes but it sounds like an unusual amount of pain. go to the dentist, get more drugs, and instead of eating jello, eat jello shots.

I just got back from the dentist where they pulled out the one tooth that was giving me problems. Lucky for me it was coming in straight, but it was still under one of my molars. The tooth was impacted still, but they gave me the gas and novacaine and pulled the sucker right out. The procedure probably only took 25 minutes (which included waiting for me to become numb) and wasn't nearly as bad as I had expected it to be. So here I sit, sipping on a milkshake and holding a bottle of hydrocodone 500Mg tabs in my lap Needless to say, when the novacaine wears off I'll be feeling pretty good I'm just glad I got out and rode yesterday because I wont be able to go again until tomorrow morning

Thanks for reading,
Richard James

Funny story: several years ago I was driving back from getting all 4 wisdom teeth pulled. It was a 45-min drive since the dentist was so far away. I got home and looked in the mirror, and then was like "wtf?" -- the sides of my mouth and my chin were covered in blood. I must have not felt the blood dribbling out of my mouth because it was still numb after the local anesthetic. I hope I didn't scare too many people sitting in traffic

I need your boots, your clothes, and your motorcycle.
