the problem isn't the sparkler, it's the parents of a 6 year old who let there kids play with them.

You don't let your kids play with lighters or matches, but you let them play with sparklers, and they get hurt. Oh that makes it the sparklers fault.

I totally agree with this ban. We MUST save the children!!!

I'm surprised that bicycles aren't banned because I fell off once and got a nasty cut through my clothes when I was a kid.

But whatever...who cares about sparklers anyway. It's sort of like fighting to protect the Lemures. The what? Exactly my point. If you only buy illegal fireworks in the first place like my friends and I, then it makes almost no difference that the sparklers are gone. In any case those often come free in the big boxes of the other illegal shite anyway.

I can hurt myself just as badly with a brick if I hit myself in the head with it.

I can drown in water if I jump in and make no effort to get up for air.

Lets ban everything - there is some potential it could hurt us, so we need to ban it for our own good.

We should even ban this internet thing.. it could be hurting us right now.

I think I'd ban masking tape, lithium grease, and that sticky blue stuff that you use to hang posters.

Oh, and did you know that a sparkler burns at 1800 DEGREES! That's HOT ENOUGH TO MELT STEEL! So make sure that you keep a couple in your tank bag, so that if you crash and break the frame, you can weld it back together!

i use to try and melt things with the sprinklers back as a kid.

Anyone remember "witch whistlers" they sold them at jewel, and make a very loud sound. Later on, i figured they were like bottle rockets and launched in the air. I got them to fly pretty far.

I was going to say the same shit. Steel doesn't melt at 1800 degrees...you need at least a solid source of constant 2500F temps to start to melt steel. Propane, mapp, butane, etc will not melt steel. You need a welder to do such things....trust me I've tried heheh. When I was young, I stepped on to a sparkler that just went out and it scorched a nice hole in my foot. Did it suck, Yes...did it hurt like a bitch Yes! Was I burning a sparkler later on that night, you betcha. Sparklers aren't the problem...PEOPLE are....everyone that gets hurt wants a big charity case...fuck off... The city should have them research some of Darwins theories..

I just want to ban all titanium on motorcycle boots and knee sliders. Those sparks really scare me.

"For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard..."

The first turn is the worst turn, between the left ear and the right one.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

+1. Hopefully he'll figure it out.

As for this sparkler thing its ridiculous. Hunderds of thousands of kids play with sparklers each year, and have done so for how many decades, and have done so without being hurt. I feel bad for this poor girl, but come on.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I prefer magnesium engine cases, wheels, ladders, etc. Harder to light but quite spectacular, turns night into day. Ban quick igniting shoes.
