Discount tires?

Winter is coming and I need some new tires for my truck - 99 Chevy Silverado 4x4 x-cab 265/75SR16.

I don't really want to spend $150+/tire, and I'd like to get a decent brand. Anyone know/recommend some discount places?

South Side / NW Indiana preferred, I'm not spending $50 in gas to save $100 on a set of tires LOL.

I shopped around when I needed tires for my Jag and Sears actually turned out to have the best price of all the nearby discount tire places. The key is to check on the internet and not in the stores.

WELEPRO on here is a manager for the Oswego location of discount tires. He's one of my best friends and gives friends, and friends of friends great deals on tires. Call 630-906-7131 and ask for erik, tell him you are from CLSB and Kevin says hi. Hooked up for sure!!!

+++++tire Rack+++++

++ TireRack....
if you call before 10:00 Am, they'll have your tires delivered at your house the next day (no extra shipping cost, they're located in Indiana). It will be difficult to find a better deal.

Problem is, most shops will charge an arm/leg to mount/balance ($40-$60 extra) cuz you shopped Online.
check around to see what mounting/balancing costs in your area, to verify if savings are justified.

Go to the guy on North ave just west of 25th ave. He's quick and does a good job. Last time he charged me $20 to mount and balance four tires. A lot of people go next door to Pep Boys to get tires and go to him to mount them.

I usually buy from Tirerack and have them mounted at a Wal-Mart. They do it really cheap.
