So someone rammed my new bike today...

So I went to class at 10:30 and came out at noon to find my new Gixxer knocked over. I parked it, rear tire against the curb, easily visible on the end of the line of cars. I came out and someone had run into it almost straight on cracking my front tire hugger and runnin the tire up over the the curb, throwing the bike on it's side in the grass (which would take a hell of a hit from the front to do that. Needless to say the damage was pretty bad, the whole side is messed up, my kickstand is bent (wondering about frame damage) and my front forks are messed. 3 weeks old, haven 't even made a payment on it....

Sh*t dude that really sucks! I'm very sorry. I know the odds are against it, but I hope someone saw it and comes forward. I worry a lot about parking my bike and dumbasses running into it.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Now THAT fookin sucks!

Why do people feel they can just drive away after they pull something like that. Start looking for cars with rear end damage or yellow paint on the bumper.........I hope you left the bike as it sat and called the police to scope it.................

Because they are selfish people who cannot take responsability for their own actions.

I did leave it as it was til the police made a report. but it doesn't help me much if they can't find the person and the bike may be totaled...

Regardless, it looks better to the insurance co.

Damn!!! Sorry to hear that!! I am always paranoid about parking lots, because people are freakin heartless idiots!

Well like Kegger said....It looks better to insurance, it's comprehensive, which should not raise your rates. I know a guy who could hook it up...He can get a new frame for ya and everything if needed.....he does awesome work, and won't over charge ya. Going through him, you'll probably even have money left over from insurance....PM me if you want his info.

I always leave my bike towards the end of the spot...people just whip into the spots and can't see the bike until it's too late. It's happened to me twice at school...once to each of my bikes.

If I were you, and it has a low deductible...I would really hope that it's totalled.

I was parked on the very end of the row with my nose end pointing out. It was impossible not to see me and the way it was hit, there is no way the person was just parking. It was hit going opposite the flow of traffic. Either the kid was completely asleep at the wheel or someone did it on purpose. Straight outta the cops mouth

Dont this school have a designated area for bikes? If not try to change that. The school I went to had parking for bikes and between every spot was a metal/concrete ballard making it impossible for cars to hit any bikes. Good luck

I'd vote for the latter. Probably some kid with some old clunker who thinks its funny to destroy others property.
