I crashed last night

After leaving Strats last night I went to Oakbrook for a short ride thru some twisties. Well, at the long left swipper something went wrong in my head and I lost concentration looking at my mirror and instead of making my turn I went straith to the ditch. I was able to slow down significantly before I droped the bike on the left side. There was a very nice roadster behing me who stopped and help me push the bike back on the road, just in case they read this I would like to say THANK YOU very much. The bike was not damaged at all other then broken turn signal, fairing was not even scratched thanks to the grass. I was able to start the bike and ride back to Strats, however, only few people were still there.
I was my fault, I wasn't going fast I was not concentrated on what I was doing and I had to pay the price, thank God it is a small one. So, when you ride pay attention to the road and your riding, and not what is behind you.

Damn! Glad you and the Falco came out okay Dan. Scary stuff. Serves you right for riding twisties by yourself instead of introducing me to more Player's Club waitresses!

Seriously though, glad you're alright!

Glad your allright!

You seem to know what went wrong and why, sorry it happened, and you've learned from it.

Man, I was so pissed at myself after the fact, however, after I saw that there is almost no damage I started laughing although my ego still hurts and God knows I am happy everything turned up fine.

In regards to the Players hooties, I haven't been there in a month. Shame on me. When ever you wanna go for a drink or two let me know.

Kegger,

I know exactly what happened it was poor judgement and lack of concentration, I almost made it to through the ditch but the front wheel gave in at around 3-5mph. I think I learned my lesson.

The bike feared better then my ego, only a left turn signal is broken, there is not a single scratch on the fairing or the left pipe. There is still some grass stuck in few places, but other then the turn signal everything is fine. Not even gear level bent. I guess I was lucky.

All you have to do is follow three simple rules. One, never under estimate your opponent (mentality). Expect the unexpected (could work out in your favor). Two, take it outside(or to a table). Never start anything inside the Bar unless it's absolutely necessary. And three, be nice.

Someone was watching over you. That's good to hear all you need is a turn signal.

Unfortunately since you have an italian bike I'm sure the signal will cost you $300 and you will have to shell out another $350 for a highly trained Aprilia mechanic to put it on so you don't void the warranty.

I have found myself dazing away not paying attnetion sometimes and something like a bump in the road wakes my ass up. Glad you and the bike came up just frazzled. At least you laughed in the end and know what happened. Cool beans.
