[QUOTE]

now why dont i doubt that there is an actual hidden clause behind this part?...if my car came with that, i would tell the f'n dealer to give me a cap with no writing on it in that case...cause that would piss me the f off

side note....nice ride man...

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!

Definetly not liking the gas cap. So what.. if the engine breaks down or something like that... are they going to ask where you got your gas from? And if you don't say BP... are you voiding the warranty on it. I know it is just a recommendation... but jeez.

yeah this gas cap has been a pain for the leasing industry. We had to make Ford give us a BP gas cap delete code when factory ordering light duty trucks and now I see some cars. Our customers were not liking it to much.

truth be told, those pictures don't do the interior justice, it's a very nice interior. Typical mustang, aka, no where near a BMW, but very nice all the same. functional clean, easy to find all the buttons.

Ford owns parts of Jaguar Aston Martin and Land Rover all British companies and Bp is British Petroleum. so the recomondation is natural.

The 05 and up Mustang's are really soooo much nicer than the previous generations. Being a former Ford owner I was really impressed by it.

Are those the new 18" wheels? They look sweet... much nicer than the 17s on the 05s.

Did you get the Mach 1000 sound system? The factory sub really bumps.

haha you guys and the gas cap, When I saw it I just laughed. You guys get pissed haha. Anyways i love the car the interior is 10 times better than my 2000 Mustang GT. I have the shacker 500 on it the next step up on stereo is the shacker 1000, i opted not to get since it was a $1300 upgrade. Thanks for all the feedback on the car, tints and exhaust are the upcoming mods.

Just curious... and if you don't mind me asking...

when I was at the Ford dealer (about a month ago), they had one GT on the lot and it had a market adjustment of $10,000 added to the sticker. So a $29000 MSRP was going for $39,000.

Please tell me you didn't pay that much. Was that only on the '05 GTs? WTF was all that about?

Ford is limited the amount of GTs that are being built. So with limited production the dealer can set the price at whatever they want and will eventually be able to find a buyer.

Anyone who pays that much for a GT is a fool and i want to know where he or she is so I can sell them AIR, in bottles. HAHA Anyways i bought it for invoice on the x-plan. I had to call around to find out who would order me a GT on the X-plan. It was supossed to take about 2-3 months on the car because of the demand but I got it in one month which i was very surprised, so was my salesman. If anyone is interested it was Oakfield ford in Villa Park. Ask for Lee he was my salesman.

nice ride don't know if you had a black car before but you'll have a lot of fun trying to keep it looking clean. get the limo tints on the car so they match the paint anything lighter will look like crap. and yeah, limo tints on the side windows are illegal but technically any tints are so you might as well get 'em as dark as you can b/c the fine is the same (i know).

Great looking car.
Ford hit a HR with the retro stang.

It's not a new thing to affiliate a oil/ gas product with a car line. Just try and get your head around how many cars and trucks ford makes a year. Then think of filling them with gas and oil. That is a lot of gas and oil.. I would love to get a sales commision off that volume!!!!!

Here is a pic from my 89 Porsche. Shell stuff then, now they are pimping Mobile stuff. The next contract/deal could change the sticker in a blink.

Yeah my other stang was black, it also had tints all around. i got 3 tickets for it so I took off the passanger side and driver side tints. The back windows are legal. I had 20% on that, Limo is too dark at night can't see behind you.

If you get like a 35-50% on the fronts you will most likly not be bothered, The only time I was ever bothered was when I had 8%. When you goto get Tints done ask for Maddico Black Onyx, I used to install Tint THIS IS THE BEST.
It's a metalized film so it's BLACK and it never fades, same stuff used on the space shuttle for heat absorbtion and on the Stealth for radar absorbtion.

I was gonna mention the sulfer thing but someone posted the link as to why Ford recommends BP. If you notice on new Toyota's and some new GM's they will also say something similar to sulfer content in gas, otherwise if you use older style gas you will get a rotten egg smell from the car, some new engine design don't know why yet.
