How about some help getting a sponsorship?

For all of you marketing people out there, or anyone in general that has any ideas I would appreciate them. I need help writing a proposal for sponsorship. I have no idea how to go about it or what to include in the proposal.

As many of you know I'm going to attempt a big climb next year. Its an expensive venture and since I work for a travel agency I thought maybe I could get my company to sponsor me. Cash, airfare, hotel, I'll take whatever.

While on the mountain we'll be sending back regular reports that'll be posted on a blog. I'm thinking that I could have Orbitz post our progress up the mountain as we send reports. I can also wear the Orbitz logo on my backpack and parka.

I brought the sponsorship idea to a friend in marketing and she was pretty receptive. She told me to write up a proposal and she'll get it to the right people.

Okay, so how do I write up a proposal?

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Chris,

I don't know what your timeframe is, but I write proposals and business plans and evaluate them all the time. I'd be happy to help, and I have a friend, AdrenalineJunkie who can probably help us make it very presentable from a graphics standpoint as well.

If you are interested, I'd be happy to help. PM me at your convenience.

Wink

Awesome, thanks for your offers and links.

Alison, I'll be watching my e-mail for your templates and you can expect me to bug you for advice.

Nemeis, thank you very much. I'll PM you later today. I didn't even think of having graphics, but the better the presentation the better the chance of sponsorship, que no?

I don't leave for Alaska until May 24, 2006, so we have some time to work with this and get it perfect.
