In Joliet-

Essington south to Ingalls east. On the right hand side of the street there's a big ass pile of wood, nicely stacked. Maybe 3-4 blocks from essington. He's got a sign, call the number and he'll come outside and help ya load up. $20 a face cord or so? It nearly fills the bed of my truck.....

I would doubt its 20 per face cord. The average in around $80 or so. If its 20 someone let me know, Im on the way

Mike,

80 is now considered cheap for "seasoned" firewood, average rate in Barrington, seasoned, delivered and stacked 99

I believe a face cord is 4' high x 8' wide x 18" pieces of wood. I think

I agree although I stack my own wood - last Fall right after we moved in I think I payed $85 dumped in the driveway. Great wood though

I would say it was half a cord then. i don't know how seasoned the stuff is either, he splits it by hand right there in his yard.

Who do you use Mike?
I need some more this year and don't know a good place. Don't want to get stuck with some crap this year.
