Hold on, so if more of the citizens of New Orleans had legally owned guns then there wouldn't have been a problem of looting in abandon stores? 'splain please....

Actually Sticky i do believe they were talking about residences as opposed to commercial. whole different ballgame. If people where looting wal-mart then i would have to say "Do what you gotta do!" (corporate dollars/insurance)

if you are looting from me or my friends and taking our possesions we accumulated from OUR hard working money then all i can say is "PULL!"

BY THE WAY---Nice cannon on the left!

I agree wholeheartedly, I didn't hear any cases of residential looting, just abandon businesses. You know like the cops with the shopping carts in the Walmart

Aint that the truth, but not just in your house. I remember a story of a guy who shot and killed two people for trying to steal his hubcaps. Concealed carry is the norm in Texas.

it's legal but it's not "the norm"

most people I know don't even keep their guns at their house. It all just depends, too, on the time of year (are you hunting every weekend? etc.).

Yeah, we have some lenient gun laws, but the image of us driving around with gun racks in our pickups just isn't true across the board. I would def. say that most people i know DO own a gun (or two) but, like I said, whether they keep it nearby is a different story altogether.

I know HeatSeeker wants to hit the range in the NW Burbs. Maybe we will make a range outing like those SW suburb members do.
