I have yet to fill up my 4Gig iPod mini. There just isn't that many songs I care to lug around.

Also, I can already picture it now. Soccer Moms crashing their SUVs while watching videos on their iPod.

I have a Nano 4g and I love it. The biggest problem is getting scratched like crazy.
Get nice cover and ready to go. Perfect for gym. I heard they will make there own phone, not with cooperation with moto-crapola. Damn Ipod what they will release next.

I think I'd prefer listening to an mp3 player and reading a book instead of trying to watch anything on one of those screens.

Have a 40g and a Shuffle. Wanted to get the Nano.. but may end up getting the new one instead. Looks purty cool.

For the most part, I just use my laptop for tunes anyway... but was thinking about riding with an iPod. Does anyone wear their iPod when riding?

I think it may be illegal on the street to wear headphones, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it for the track.

Yep, 40G and 1G shuffle. the bigger 40G is great for riding. I put it facing out on my outside chest pocket and can change songs while I ride, with gloves on.

Need to check out the price, but yes, I probably will get the unit unit, especially if it will play mpgs. I purchased a Dell Axim and even with Media player it was so limited it wouldn't play the mpegs. This might be a very good solution for me.

That is so awsome. My dumb ass friend just bought the nano. He is the all time technology whore. He has to be the first with everything that comes out. He was the first to get that motorola razor for $220. I will be getting mine free in 1 week with a bluetooth included FOR FREE!!! I can't wait to mention this new nano. He is gonna shit.

So is this a motorcycle friendly technology? I assume there are some moving parts that vibration may affect? Is it reasonably water resistant? I need something for road tunes on the HD.

i'm sure with this amount of storage it still uses a micodrive, and thus moving parts.

Video Ipod is a waste of money except maybe for college students. If you're out of college or soon will be...unemployed, or under employed...wait, wrong commercial.

Seriously, what is the justification for having a Video Ipod? What is it that's worth the time and money to watch on a 2.5 inch screen? If anything, you're better off with a PSP, at least the resolution is higher, screen is bigger, and you can play games. There's one group of people that I see having any use for it, and that's people who ride the train a lot. When I was at DePaul, it would have been nice to have something like that for the train when going between campuses. Other than that, when would you actually watch it? At home you've got a nicer setup than that I'd hope, and it would be too shaky to watch on a treadmill. Then again if you work like a graveyard security shift somewhere I could see a use for it, but in that case, you're much better of with the PSP for better quality and picture size. When it comes to MP3 player, the Nano is hands down a better choice for the money and even better since it's a flash drive.

When Iím on my bike I use nano with ear-buds. I use it only on the longer highway rides.
When Iím ready to hit some side streets or twisties, I turn this thing off. I noticed you loosing your concentration very quick. I seen guy from our forum on a Plumbers run, who was listening music while riding on twisty road, and gues what Ė he end up in a corn field. After that he turn his mp3 player OFF. I love my nano, small toy, fits in small pocket in your jeans, flash drive, and battery last longer then in regular ipod mini.
