As far as entertainment goes, I think it's definately better than Dogtown & Z boys. Rent it and check it out, you might enjoy it. The actors are all pretty good. Lance mountain, Tony Hawk, Christian Hosoi, Jay Adams, Stacy Peralta, Tony Alva and a few others all have cameo rolls in it. It's pretty cool.

Nice dude! I can't do shit for tricks but I have fun just riding. Yes they have lights; the clover pool is lite up pretty well but the big flow bowl has some big ass shadows which makes it a bit "challenging".

If you go, I'll be the old dude with the gray hair and white helmet.

Hey Bug,
My first good board was a Logan Earth Ski. There's a couple dudes who skate Wilson on Long boards, one guy rides the bowls.

So about this "friend" of yours that seems to be in possesion of a sweet indoor mini *cough cough*

How many cases of beer will it take to hook up some private sessions?

Oh man, and to think I JUST put my Christian Hosoi board with Gullwing trux and krypto wheels out in the alley for some other kid to 'catch the concrete wave' this old guy can't ride anymore (one fall and I'm in busted hip city with the old ladies - best leave it to the kids).

That, plus 40lbs makes me more like henry hester than any skinny surfer. what memories. . . .my first board was a peralta model purchased at MORRIE MAGES. okay, trip the wayback machine now . . . .

Kryptonics Blues in 70mm on Haut Lamaflex boards with ACS trucks. Still got it, still ride it!

Crashomon, you could have sold that puppy.

Bill, allright dude! I've never heard of Haut Lamaflex but I used run Blue 60mm Kryps on my Bennett Pros(with ACS baseplates).

My buddy used to ride Green Kryps in 70mm. They were too hard for me. I wasn't heavy enough and I didn't do tail slides that much. When I did I liked the blue Kryps because they didn't slide forever.

I forgot I still have a G&S deck with no trucks I need to restore. Both my boards have grab rails on them, if you remember those or used them.

rail slides, tailpad and truck guards too! The hammerhead board was one heavy mofo, but I used it for three years and slammed it into countless objects and while it chipped away, it never cracked or broke. I had an Alva board before that and Tony was my hero (for the longest time he was in the guiness book of world records for longest jump between two boards, wild!)

Now, I need to see this new movie. The other dogtown flick (peralta one) was so f-in cool, its something that the girls just don't understand. I started riding, shit, 31 years ago!

But, I will say this: Falling on skateboards prepared me for falling on motorcycles! 7 crashes and NO broken bones (knock on wood). :-)

My beat up Lucero has rails, I bought a old school board a few months back but decided that I like the modern popsicles more, now it's just wasting away with my old G&S trucks on it. Underdog has a near mint SMA Thiebaud.

So with all the skaters on here, any serious long boarders? When I say serious, I mean willing to invest in a trip out to Cali and hit some state park roads up in the mountains? I have family that live in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas in the San Juquin Valley and about 30 mins from great state park pavement - All a smooth cruise downhill with lite traffic and pretty much gravel free - With the ipod kickin and my little nephews runnin us back up the hill in the jeep, tis a grerat way to waste a day

What I'm talkin bout : http://www.sector9.com/2005/

I ride the nosewalker

Never been a long boarder. The roads here aren't conducive to longboarding. Looks fun though and I have leathers so, who knows?

Closest one to the city (that I've found) is Audoban. Sticky should be on momentarily with a link. Haven't been there yet this season. Looking forward to some more riding with sweatshirts until the snow falls.

Sticky had some sweet OMN (Old Man Night) sessions there last winter. If you don't mind getting your football highlights on Sports Center the next day - it's a helluva way to kill a few hours without the kids around.
