Honda Polished

The intro/cut scenes always look great. I'll admit this is great eye candy and I'm sure will be a hit in Japan.

Still, get some gameplay shown. That's what makes the ratings.

If the game will look that way, I love it. At first, I thought it was video footage of real riders.

That's a pre-renderd movie clip, the actual gameplay won't look that sharp. Most likely that is the actual game engine though, so imagine the same thing, but not nearly as high a resolution.

Still could be amazing... depending on how much it's dumbed down.

Didn't get to see the vid, but i'm sure it's great. Anyways, for those that have a 'mod chip' installed on their PS2's i can possibly get this game for you. My brother has all the overseas games and then some, he actually installed a hard drive in my PS2 so the loading time is minimal, and the disc reader thingamajig will never break again. (my 1st ps2 died after 2 years due to the stupid disc reader failing, which was common with the first production PS2's) Forgot how much memory my PS2 holds but i can save at least 15-17 games, depending on size of the game. (GT4, GTA SA, are some games with big files)

It's the same company that does Gran Turismo. So I'm willing to bet that the gameplay graphics are very similar

They will be similar.

WHat I was trying to saw is the movie clip we are seeing is pre-rendered, meaning a computer sits there and spends 5-10 minutes creating a single high-resolution frame, one at a time from action directly out of the game's 3D engine.

So it took hours to render that movie clip, where-as for the PS2 to play the same clip in real-time, the quality won't be as high.

Just watch the opening movie clips of any Gran Turismo game and then compare them to the actual game replays, you'll see what I mean.

They also are known for realistic game play, which will make the game too hard for casual gamers. Most people don't want simple errors (like hitting the grass, running into others) to cause them to wipe out.
