STarter, $10-25 for a standard, $30-40 for a HD one depending on condition.
Props, probably 75% of new.
LCD controller, no idea.
radio batt pack, depends on make and if still being made.
tach, unsure.

I kinda get into it for a while then it sits for a coupel years and then its out again. After spending a few $$$ in 91-93 doing ducted fan jets it just got too $$$$ and I started riding so I had something else to blow money on.

That wouldnt even get you the fan unit.

Was a F105 Thunderchief with a Rossi.90DF. Retracts, flaps, airbrakes. Futaba 7 ch radio (no digital). Damn thing flew like lightning (well 150 was est top speed) and had a ultra low stall speed (about 40).

BTW I sold it already in 93. Got $2500 for it complete. Grew tired of the asshats at the field who got pissed because the field marshall wouldnt let prop/helo or gliders in the air when DF planes are flying. Since I was usually the ONLY one there with one, well I got the sky to myself. There was a guy there who had an old white gas JET F86. That plane MOVED. Was working on making a F111 with a functioning swing wing. Thats when I lost interest (well actually tired of the assholes in the Acadamy of Model Aeronautics club here) and sold everything but my school yard .40 ugly stick and cars.

But would like to try helicopters next.

i know, there freaking expensive.

When i was in highschool, just getting started with the trainers cost me a lot. Plane, radio, engine, caddy, starter, fuel pump, etc... then the cost for parts to build a plane too.

The place where i use to fly, had a lot of people flying jets. I dont think we had any rules besides waiting for someone to get off your frequency.
