Car situation, title wise..

I bought a car for a buddy of mine since hes outta town, and the car was about to be sold!

Just wondering if theres anyway I can get the title to him, without re-registering it under my name first for a new title?

(as it is right now, i signed for the title from the buyer, i dont wanna pay registration to get the title under my name :P)

NESBA - Seems to be missing, can someone direct me where to find it?

Same thing happened to 2 friends of mine. You screwed yourself. You have to pay to register it to yourself, then sell it to your friend, then he has to pay to register it again.

You sure it needs to actually be registered? When I was just changing my title and registration from NJ to IL, they have boxes on the form to just change title. Yes you'll have to pay sales tax and title fees, but might be able to at least be able to avoid the registration part.

Well that's what I meant actually...you don't have to pay for a registration sticker, you just have to pay to get the title switched to one name and then the next.
