recently married - wifes name change help

Got married on the 1st
went and got our marriage certificate today
now what does my wife have to do to change her name?
start at the social security office?

I'm in the same boat - getting married in 10 days and getting the license tomorrow.

We're going on a cruise and already have airline/cruise tickets. We were told NOT to go ahead w/ any name changing until after the trip because her tickets wouldn't match her ID.

Just a heads up if you have something like that planned/booked.

My wife got a name change kit from one of her friends. It has every conceivable form and step by step process of where and how to change your name. My wife has bought this for other new brides and was happy about how comprehensive it was.

If your wife asks her girlfriends, bridal expos, or anywhere bride stuff is sold, she'll probably find a place that sells it locally.

P.S.> That's cool that your wife changed her name. Not as common nowadays.
