Ebay scumbag

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1873208893

This guy is saying this is his bike. He did all the custom work on it and everything. In reality, that bike is a forum members on the R1 forum. Several emails have been sent to him in regards to the bike, which have gone unanswered. Check out the top bid Its a few members jacking up the bid, so some unsuspecting real buyer doesnt get scammed. I hate scamming scumbags.

Yeah, Chris - aka JohhnyRad had it happen with his GSXR 600. The guy selling it evan had Chris' VIN number listed! That takes some balls. Dishonest bastids

I think I've seen about 5 guys claim that bike as their own so far on different boards and what not.

I wonder how often people acually get away with that.

i don't get it........the price just dropped back down to $99,099. the guy has a pretty good standing on ebay. he only has 1 negative, and that was because he tried selling this bike on there before with a bin of $8K.

price is down to $8600 and the reserve is met. Hmmmm says he put $15,000 in mods and it only has 150 miles. My question would be why put the $$$ into a bike and not ride it then sell for less than you put into it. Hmmm.

Uh, maybe for the same reason I'm selling the 2000 for less than I put into it.

The guy who actually owns that bike is named Gregg. He lives in California and did all those mods himself. He also makes custom flushies for the R1 which are the absolute best I have seen.

Doesnt this scumbag get charged a fee each time he lists this bike for sale???

Time to play devil's advocate:

is it possible......just possible...without knowing the whole story here that this is a differant bike? maybe the guy did the same mods and are very close and they just look alike?

Only offering a dufferant point of view.

Pugs: I can see your point. The only thing that makes us believe its not, is the fact the picture he is using is the picture the real owner uses for his avatar. And if he did all those mods, why only have a buy it now for $8,000?? Gregg has put in a little over $26,000 in mods to his bike.

2002YAMAHA R1
Vehicle Description

The R1 has always been famous for scalpel-sharp handling, and for 2002 this wicked carver gets an even keener blade, thanks to an all-new Deltabox III frame. Constructed of aluminum and bathed in a Superbike-inspired black finish, this third-generation Deltabox chassis is lighter and more rigid than ever before. Couple this stiffer skeleton with a lightweight, removable subframe, an all-new, equally stiffer fully adjustable 43mm inverted Kayaba fork, an asymmetrical-type aluminum swingarm with revised rear shock rates, and lighter-weight wheels, and you’re looking at cornering capability as planted and predictable as it is blazingly quick.
Please don't make confusions, this bike is MINE, I invested in chrome, wheels and frame about $15,000.

Vehicle Condition

Bike is NEW. Still in warranty ! No problems, scratches. never down or dripped. Gorgeous

Terms of Sale

Clear title. I can arrange shipping on my own cost.

Seller will pay for shipping??? This NEVER happens specially on a bike where shipping is probably a couple of hundred bucks.

Pugs: That caught our attention too. No one ever pays for the shipping themselves. He retracted all the bogus bids we were placing on it. I have a bad feeling someone is actually going to win the bid, send the $$$ and get nothing in return.

BTW, we have contacted Ebay several times about this, and they dont care.

And why have all those mods on it, and only 150 miles on the odo??? Unless it was just used as a show bike.

yea, it's costing him quite a bit to list. w/ a reserve over $200, it is going to cost $3.30, plus an inserstion fee of $25 for a motorcycle. I guess it isn't too much, but a lot to me. Are you all positive it isn't his? He seems pretty perisitant plus has a rather spotless feedback page.

Maybe I'm lost here, but just what would the point of this be? Thats a pretty blatant scam don't you think? Selling a bike for 8K and never sending anything? I can't imagine anyone who would let that fly. Plus, I find it hard to beleive that he would leave the thing up for sale if hes been called out on it by all these people.

I dunno...

I would imagine he may not be using his real identity to do this. It'll probably be easy for him to disappear that way.
