Black Friday Humbug!!!

mmkay, Black Friday... yadayadayada... so, the sale starts @ 5am... i get there @ 4:45am (since the associate told me that they WOULD NOT release any sale items UNTIL 5am... by the time i walk over to electronics... they're all SOLD OUT! I'm like "WHAT THE ?!?!?! the sale JUST started... i was like "did you guys just have 1 laptop?.. cuz, its 5am and you're telling me that you're sold out already?" .. Me and about 5 other people gathered around the kiosk and almost bum rushed the clerk... apparently, an associate (young punk kid) opened up the pallete w/ the laptops early... and all the vultures that were hanging out (its a 24hour Walmart) swiped them clean. GRRRRR! I didn't get to sleep until 1:30am, woke up @ 4am.. for what? NOTHING! and I still have to work @ 8am for 10hours... BAH HUMBUG!!!

...Walmart can suck the big one!

(Maybe I shoul've gone to BestBuy... oh well. Hope you guys have better luck. I gotta get ready for work dag nabbit!)

Yeah, the WalMart laptops have been big news today. Most Walmarts stocked only a dozen or so and sold out in seconds. The whole thing is a sales gimmick to get you in the store to buy other crap.

Who else is going shopping today? I will be hitting the outdoor gear stores like The North Face, REI, Patagonia, and Moosejaw.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Best buy had laptops for $300. Retailed over $1000. People were lining up at 8pm on Thanksgiving for a 5am opening. Was like a dozen people there already. They are nutz

I went to the Staples that I live above this morning at 6am. I would never shop on this day but since all I had to do was roll out of bed and walk downstairs I figured what the hay. They had some good deals although the store was like the freaking stock exchange. They had two guys getting the good stuff (HDDs, Memory Cards, DVD burners) from behind the corner and people were just shouting what they wanted and they would run back and get whatever they had.

All in all I got some great deals. I got a nice Brother multifunction machine, 512M SD card, laminator, 150 sheets of photo paper, and a TV remote for about $65.

I would NEVER do that if I have to fight traffic and parking

I woke up at 530am to go to Target, F-that next year, I will pay 4 or 5 more dollars. Did get a pretty sweet deal on a coat at JC Penny for the old man though. Bergners/Carson Pierre Scott had diamond chip tennis bracelets for 14.95/they retailed for 100 even. Thought about buying a few and unloading them on eBay but just wasn't worth my time

I got a flight into O'hare this morning and decided to swing gurnie mills on the way home. not only were the masses of people unbeleiveable, people were taking shopping carts from sears grand and pushing them through the mall. not just a couple of people, a whole buttload. security did nothing about it. I surprised nobody go hurt. like i have said before, common sense is not all that common.

you don't know when, you don't know where, but you will know why.

Jammin and I went shopping yesterday, we still got smoking deals at noon, only one item was sold out. The other item they gave us the sale price even tho it wasn't on sale. Of course we were tool shopping Jay wanted to go to Woodfield area, I looked at him and said, "Your freaking nuts!"

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.
