MY train hit someone this morning

It's the second time that I've been effective by this. Not sure what happened yet but someone was struck and killed at the Lockport station on the Heritage Corridor Metra Line. We were over an hour late to work this morning. There are headlines out there but so far just general info on it. They weren't telling us much more than it was a pedestrian incident while we were on the train.

That happened to me once with a car. Saw half the car passing my window. No one died in that though.

It was a pedestrian. I was with one of the amtrak guys when it came across the radio. Dont know anything beyond that though. Probably some sleepy commuter who fell a sleep on his feet.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

All those good-ole-boys are there for the shutdown. They are pipefitters and welders and such. The refinery should be back to normal in a couple weeks. Funny how an extra 2000 vehicles can slow down an intersection, huh?

Yeah....it's adding a good 10 minutes to my drive home at times and even at 5:45am the traffic and busses seem to slow you down at the light by the Citgo.
