Im staying home until they resolve the traffic issue. Me and another 1000 cars were stuck in a hillside parking lot for 2 hours...never moved an inch.

I took the local city bus shuttle between the track and downtown Monterey. No problems, and free to boot.

For the money it costs to go to the Laguna GP you can pick any European GP, you may actually be able to do it cheaper.

For the first USGP I had rooms reserved and tickets held but I decided to back away because I knew it would be a big mess over there. People were getting bumped out of there reservations to hotels, traffic jams, over priced everything. I hope to go to Europe for a GP, visit cool towns, meet interesting people, party like a rock star. The American dollar still goes farther in Europe than in California. My 0.02

I have family that live 10 minutes from the Laguna Seca and I have a choice of two hotels within 20 minutes of the track that I can stay at for free and it would still end up costing me more than a trip to Europe. Airfare to Europe is about the same as CA, depending on which airport you fly into. Everything else is WAY cheaper. GP tickets, alcohol, hotels, transportation are all much more affordable at most Euro GP's. You also have the added bonus of Euro trash chicks...that's all the reason I need really.
