Question:

If my boss, my boss's boss, and half of my department, are on vacation until Dec. 2nd (leaving very few if anybody to check up on me)... does this mean that, in theory, I'm on vacation too?

I know when my boss is on vacation we consider it a vacation for us, even if we have to beat work...now who has that deck of cards in their locker.

My wife thinks we're a bunch of Top Gun wannabes with our call signs, so for future reference, I'm Roger

Noooooo....it just means you are the one of the low on the totem pole suckers left behind to turn the lights on/off in an obviously slow ass period.

Did I mention I have the whole week off?

Hey you.... shut up and get back in the welfare line.

Here, there is always someone delegated as the boss. Besides when they come back, they expect all the work they assigned you to be done then.... which is basically their work delegated to you.

No, I'm a republican and I didn't choose to get laid off, so since I did I will now take my time and find the kind of a job I really want. I shouldn't be expected to grab the first job available. I've been going on interviews and I've been looking every week, there just isn't all that much out there. Hopefully soon I will be able to rejoin my working brothers and sisters

more power to you. I just find it ironic when republicans and other conservatives complain about too many government programs and government assistance, but they have no problem getting in the unemployment line when they lose a job. Not knocking you or others, just pointing out the irony.

What I find funny is the people that complain about public help systems like un-employment, medicaid, welfare, etc, but say nothing about the corporate welfare allowances that let places like Gurnee Mills never have to pay real estate taxes, and the fact that the gubment is going to help rebuild Enron while Anderson and it's people are ripped to shreds.... Democrat, Republican, they're both just deviding lines generated to make people vote one way or another. Politicians are the same regardless of party.

...Oops..misdirected rant.
