New and Used Bike Sale Sites

I am planning on selling my bike and looking for a new one. Just trying to determine where to list my bike and start hunting for a new one

I'm aware of:
Cycletrader
Craig's list
Ebay

What are some other good web sites or resources to use to look for new and used bikes?

I'd hit the WERA/CCS/NESBA boards as well. They might not be as big of a hit simply because most of them are racers (ie..broke by June).

Best bet would be either EBay or Cycletrader.com . Unless you need the cash, I'd wait until spring.

Start by getting some good pictures of your bike. Lucky for you, Santa is bringing me a brand new Nikon D70s digital SLR on Monday. Call me if you want me to take pics. As for selling, I high recommend posting on the Ducati forums. The Ducati fanboys will be all over it.

As for purchasing, let's wait until after the 2006 models come out. All the squids will be dumping their old bikes for the latest and the greatest.

+1 I'll vouch for that. Remember to get the asking price right and it'll go.

Misha, as most have stated.
1. Clean her up real nice
2. Take some nice pics and have all angles
3. First post on CLSB
4. Then hit all sites listed that pertain to Ducati
5. Talk to VCOOK also
6. Mention to Deefib and she can talk it up for you I am sure with her DRILL
DUCATI CLUB
7. See if you can post a picture with info at Players Club as they have
alot of Ducati supporters there.
8. Many of us in here can and will help you spread the word and post on
sites that we frequent.
9. I will help ya out as I have had great luck in CLSB alone with bike
purchases, I just help A CLSB member sell his bike & and help one of my
employess buy it.
10. What are your plans for purchase?

Let us know how we can help ya....

Go with the R6.
You are tiny girl, and I bet you do not want heavy bike.
R6 are light, they look good, and performance on it is incredible.
Don’t know about seat height, but I bet you can lower it if you have to.

Kind of off topic...

Is it difficult to finance a used bike to purchase from a private owner? Are there certain institutions that are bike friendly?

I'm in the market for an 05 r6 next year, but probably won't have all the $$$ up front. I'd like to stay away from the dealer...

Yup. If you have decent credit you should be able to get a loan from your bank or credit union. I have an open line of credit with my bank for these types of things. Unsecured interest rates will always be higher than a secured loan though. From your bank probably around 10-12%. Amer General around 20-25%

I have decent credit at best unfortunately. Screwed up when I was 18...almost have those bad marks off my report though.

My bank, TCF, sucks. I suppose I should open an account with a credit union for when the time comes. I'm not paying CC interest on a bike...I'll buy an 06 if that's the case, haha.
