I've seen the first one before. Yeah, it's awesome. Canon in D is always great for shredding, playing. Girls love the song, so even playing the melody is enough to get them all googly

I played as a studio pro for a few years -- you know the guy that gets hired to do the stuff that the band cant pull off ... that was a lot of fun. Cool stuff on those, im still partial to vai doing beethoven, or and of the interesting stuff nuno bettencourt did. Check out a video called 'speed kills' by michael angelo batio, ive been playing along with that for a few weeks, and its great!

I am more of a blues guy myself, SRV and such.

I can understand and appreciate how incredibly talented and accomplished players like Vai and Malmsteen (and even these players in the video) really are ... but at the end of the day I'd much rather play like and listen to players like David Gilmore, Gary Moore, etc.

I don't have that vid. Isn't that with the metal method? I'm working on that series, but I had to restart since it's been 2 years since I played. Pretty good though.

I grew up on and enjoy SRV and Gilmore as well, while not total speed players very soulful and powerful....
I have to admit some smoking solo work will get my insides going.

I gotta dig out some of those old Frank Marino and UFO Albums .. yes albums

I find it hard to pick one type of music that I like, as there are so many talented people out there, a lot depends on my mindstate.
