Wow, this thing looks like something out of THX 1139 or some other futuristic movie. For those of you looking for cool garage ideas, check out the 'car carousel' at the end. Wild stuff.

I still wouldn't buy the car, but if it was given to me, I wouldn't throw it away...

Saw this on another forum I read... that plant is friggin awesome.

I'd never own a VW though..... for about the same price I'd rather have an Audi A8 (not that it's any more reliable)

Wow! That would be an awesome tour to go take.

Ride smart... stupid hurts.

Everyone crashes. Some get back on. Some don't. Some can't...

Godspeed 788!!! We miss you!

That's a kick ass place. I feel a resume drop and relocation is in order. No wonder the price of VW's have gone up, they have to cover the cost of that plant .

the phatons are awesome cars. when my wife was buying her Jetta I was checking it out.

Looking at that plant makes me not feel so crazy for wanting to put hardwood floors in my garage

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

This car is being discontinued for the North American market in Feb 06. Sales are still exceeding expectations in Europe though.

Awesome factory!

This is not surprising. The us market just does not look to the vw label for a 60,000 car. even though Vdubs cars are phenominally built.
