. It's a proven fact because the body spreads its resources around when you're pushing it being awake, working hard and for nothing. There will always be something to do at work. It'll always be there. Your health you must keep a check on. So typically you keep a cold longer than you should doing 12 hour shifts.
If you slept (which has no stress and needs nothing for your body to do) your white cells have a much better chance to fight off a cold. No matter what you might use to sleep, SLEEP
! Use Nyquil or nighttime something cold medicine to help you sleep. Also, avoid alcoholic beverages because that puts more stress on your body and it'll have to fight to flush out that toxin and you won't have full resources for the cold, yep, while you're sleep. Use zinc lozenges while you're awake to at least keep the cold at a particular level and keep you from feeling worse.
Believe it or not, you can rid yourself of a cold in 1-2 days (when caught early and if you SLEEP
All these members that know howl to hook up a t.v., break apart a gun, tell you where to go for a lawyer, which cable/satellite company is the best, what cord goes where, break down any bike and a whole bunch of other things and we don't have a doctor in the house?! lol
